The Idea
My idea first started as something with a sleeping cat. The idea of the cat stayed while the text around the cat seemed to change everyday. But once the final text was chosen, there were a lot of different color combinations to choose from. Changing from the words being orange, the cat being white, and the background grey to the words being grey, the cat white with orange stripes, the background being orange, and a grey outline around the cat.

How I Completed the Assignment
Once I realized what I wanted my decal to look like, I started on the creation of it. I used Illustrator to set up what my decal would look like. Creating the shape, finding a picture online, and adding text. Within minutes of searching and creating, my decal was ready to be cut. Next was using the Vinyl cutter to cut out the pieces and then putting all the pieces together. In the end, it turned out amazing and was ready to stick to something.

What I learned
While creating my decal, I learned many new things. Vinyl cutting takes all class(even though the cutting part only takes seconds), creating a decal requires a lot of focus, and the process is very easy. While waiting to use the Vinyl, I have used up one of my days, getting nothing done and feeling very behind, but on another, I get to the Vinyl cutter right away and get everything done within the class. While creating my decal, I found it hard to picture what pieces would be taken away and what pieces would stay in the final decal, but after getting them right in front of me, it was a breeze. This entire project took a very short amount of time when used wisely and waiting on no one. Overall, this was a really great experience to create my decal and use the Vinyl cutter, and I'm very happy on the way everything turned out.
